Score Group has a long history of providing world-class engineering apprenticeships and for more than 40 years has equipped young people with the knowledge and experience to make a difference in the world of engineering.

Leveraging on this experience, Score Group recently provided globally recognised valve management training to harness the skills of Score Rigworld Services in-country service technicians.

A group of Technical Trainees from Score Rigworld Services in Ghana came to Peterhead to gain essential training and hands on experience within various departments around Score Group.

The group completed 12-weeks of intensive product training where they gained exposure to various company courses on valve product overhaul and testing, stores, safety and technical services functions.

The trainees have since returned to Ghana where they will continue supervised exposure to valve work scopes, writing technical logs to company standard and progressing through the Score Group Competency Framework.

On successful completion of various work-based assessments in Ghana, they will return to Peterhead for a 12-week completion phase for their SVQ Level 3. Upon receiving their certificate of competency, they will return to Ghana as fully qualified Valve Technicians.
