To support the oil and gas market in West Africa, Score and Rigworld have created a joint venture, Score Rigworld Services.
Rigworld Solutions, an indigenous engineering company, are specialists in a wide range of engineering services including, the production of stud bolts and nuts; and the maintenance of both high-and low-pressure hoses for the petrochemical industry.
Score Rigworld Services, based in Ghana, will focus on developing new opportunities in the West African region and establishing closer working relationships with its customers. The joint venture will provide the West African market with a gateway to support in-country valve asset management, engineering and integrity solutions.
The purpose-built facility at Takoradi includes a dedicated valve repair workshop area, machine shop, a 3000m2 laydown area and an extensive stockholding of parts, to ensure rapid delivery of spare parts and replacement services.
This is a very exciting venture for Score which has been in development for the last 12 months. I have been encouraged by the positive feedback and support that this new initiative has received from the team in Ghana. As we aim to develop new opportunities for our business in West Africa, a local presence means improved support for our customers across the region.
